quarter hours we have
reached the charming
little town of Zug
at the base of the
mountain ridge which
encicles the head of
Lake Zug.   Many
tourists make this
their starting point
for excursions into         [-Lucern-]
the mountains-    The Lake of Zug is a beautiful sheet of
water 9 miles long by 3 miles wide and 1300 ft deep, surrounded
by precipitous mountains-    The railway coming in and
going away from Zug encircles nearly three quarters of the
Lake showing nicely the town of 4000 inhabitants, from
several points of view.

omnibus ride around the head of the lake, through the old town,
