¶ 2 Leave a comment on paragraph 2 0 quite empty- Turning to the right from our Hotel, the first large building is the Palace of the Doges. Before reaching the front of the Palace we cross a canal which runs back into the city between said Palace and the Prison, and connecting the two, is the famous “bridge of sighs”, between their upper stories, whose gloomy stone passages “could a tale unfold” that would surely make ones blood run cold.
